串珠 Beads-Necklace & Earrings

Forgot to turn the photo around...oh well....
Jewelries from stores can be very expensive, but they're actually very cheap to make. You also get to have fun and be creative!

園藝生活 Gardening-Spring flowers

Ranunculus, one of my favorite flowers.

Love the layers when in full blossom.

I love dainty flowers! Don't know what the name of this one though.

This is called Scilla. Supposed to be bell flowers (I love all bell flowers!). Just starting to bloom.

彩繪 Tole Painting-Door Bell

This doorbell doesn't work anymore. Actually, it does work, but it likes to ring on its own!

Bought another brand of doorbell because I don't want to use the older brand and end up with the same problem.
Painted on a wooden surface~to be attached to the doorbell. The flowers look too feminine I think, so....

I repainted some of the flowers. Not very satisfied still, don't really like the colour combination...but oh well....don't want to repaint again; it'd look too messy with the paint on top of paint.

彩繪 Tole Painting-Wooden Book Tray

When I was a student, I used to paint on canvases, now I like tole painting~painting on household items. Water bottles, watering pots, towel hangers, anything that I can lay my hands on.... Maybe someday when I have the courage I'd be painting on my house door. :>
I also like buying wooden items to paint on, like the above~Wooden Book Tray, my work from last year, April 30, 08.

迷你小物 Miniature-Starry Christmas

My latest miniature setting: Starry Christmas ~ Star Tarts, Star Cookies Christmas Tree, Christmas Chocolate Cake, Gingerbread Man chocolate, Fruit Punch and Christmas presents.
Although Christmas has passed, my latest work was on Christmas, so I thought I might as well put the photos up.
I prefer doing settings rather than the whole dollhouse now because I've found that the longer it takes to finish a project, the less motivation I have for finishing it. The contentment is easier to achieve when the project doesn't take forever to complete.

迷你小物 Miniature-Afternoon Tea

I didn't know about this term until a few years ago. When I first encountered these cute little things (actually I only saw them in books), I was already very fond of them. But I didn't quite know how to start. At first I started making large flowers with "flour clay" (a type of clay). It was about 3 years ago that I started making miniatures.

I'm still amazed at how just a little clay could imitate almost anything. What you basically need is clay and oil/acrylic colours. Of course there're all kinds of stuff (including what we would view as garbage) that we'll need as we go along. But the basic "ingredients" are simple.

Above was my first miniature setting: Afternoon Tea, Dec 04.
